Magnetic Keyboard Troubleshooting

For M4G magnetic Hall Effect keyboards. These keyboards are sensitive and customizable, so most issues come from calibration, profiles, sensitivity, or drivers, not hardware failure.

Most important fix

Most magnetic keyboard issues are fixed from the software.

If your keyboard starts typing random letters, spamming keys, or some keys stop responding, the issue is usually related to software settings. In most cases, running a full Calibration, restoring the default profile, or performing a reset from the M4G software will restore normal behavior.

Calibration Fix

Calibration is the number one fix for magnetic keyboards when keys spam letters, act unstable, or stop responding. It refreshes the Hall Effect sensor mapping and restores stable input.

Calibration Steps

  • Open M4G software for your keyboard model.
  • Find the Calibration button.
  • Choose your keys or select all keys, then process.
  • Click Calibration and follow the instructions shown in the software.
  • When it finishes, test typing again.
  • If needed, restore default actuation and deadzone values, then calibrate once more.

Keys stop working or feel inconsistent

Most common cause: calibration or sensitivity settings.

  • Run a full calibration.
  • Restore default actuation and deadzone values.
  • Save or apply settings properly.
  • Plug directly into the PC and avoid USB hubs.

Keyboard types by itself

Often caused by extreme sensitivity, corrupted profile, or calibration drift.

  • Restore defaults for actuation, deadzone, and rapid trigger.
  • Run calibration again after restoring defaults.
  • Increase deadzone slightly.
  • Remove macros or remaps and test with a clean profile.

Software cannot detect the keyboard

Not detected does not automatically mean the keyboard is broken.

  • Use a direct USB port.
  • Try another USB port or cable.
  • Close macro, RGB, or remapper apps.
  • Run the software as Administrator.

Rapid Trigger feels unstable

Rapid Trigger with ultra-low actuation can make typing unstable.

  • Restore default Rapid Trigger settings.
  • Increase actuation distance slightly.
  • Use a safer deadzone.
  • Create separate Typing and Gaming profiles.
